International Day of Dance

International Dance Day ( World Dance Day) has been celebrated on April 29th through promotion by the International Dance Council ( CID), an umberella organization within UNESCO for all kinds of dance. Among the goals of the Dance Day are to increase the awareness of the importance of dance among the general public. Merseyside dance initiative will organise a number of performances within City Central BID.
12-2pm: Under the Big Screen in Clayton Square - Lots of different performers both amateur and professional.
5 - 7: Shop windows - solo professional artists probably world dance ie Indian, african etc... in the windows of Marks & Spencers.
5 - 7pm: Williamson Square - Thursdays Alive after Five. Various professional and amateur live outdoor performances.
